The Knitting Map was a knitting installation, knitted by a community of knitters every day during 2005.

The Knitting Map was a major commission from the Executive of the European Capital of Culture: Cork 2005. The abstract documentation of city movement (translated into complexity of knitting stitch), and weather (translated into yarn colour), was knitted by an open community of knitters every day during 2005.
