This multinational project funded under the European Leonardo da Vinci programme looks at how small and medium sized enterprises can more effectively improve their environmental performance. The project partners are located in the UK, Greece, Czech Republic and Ireland. Pilot studies suggest that significant environmental and financial savings are possible but that they are difficult to realise due, to a large extent, to organisational factors. Each partner institution is working with 15 small and medium sized enterprises [60 in total] to develop more effective waste management strategies, which will be backed-up by a comprehensive package of
E-learning support materials developed through the programme.
