Abstract

It is argued that Cunobelinus struck the CVNO/DVBN quarter stater, and not someone called Dubnovellaunos, and that he did so to depict himself as a 'world (dubnos)-conqueror' following his defeat of King Verica of the Regini and Atrebates.
