The first air-stable, cationic rhodadicarborane complex, [3-(MeCN)-3,3-(PPh(2)Me)(2)-3,1,2-closo-RhC2B9H11][SbF6] 1, which does not contain a 'charge-compensated' carborane ligand is synthesised and structurally characterised by X-ray crystallography and spectroscopic techniques (IR and NMR).
