To help counterbalance the preponderant ‘problem-loaded’ view that beginning teachers are predominantly in survival mode, this study seeks the perceptions of nine beginning primary teachers in Ireland, in relation to their capabilities to act agentively throughout the course of their induction year, post-graduation.
