There is an increasing interest in interprofessional education (IPE), however, most previous IPE studies focused on educating practising physicians and nurses. The present study reports a pilot IPE programme for students in speech-language therapy (SLT), occupational therapy (OT), and medicine in University College Cork, Ireland. A survey was conducted before and after the IPE session. The results showed significant improvement in the understanding of the different roles of the doctor, OT and SLT in the healthcare team. Thematic analysis of qualitative responses revealed positive feedback regarding the usefulness of the session and the continuation of the programme in the future.
