Perceptual evaluation is the primary clinical tool which speech-language therapists/pathologists (SLT/Ps) use for assessing speech disorders. Although it has high face validity, it is subject to poor reliability. Previous studies have investigated the effect of various factors (e.g., clinical experience) on the reliability of perceptual evaluation. However, no previous study investigated this issue from the perspectives of the SLT/Ps. This study aims to address this gap by collecting data from practicing SLTs and SLT students by means of a survey. The results would supplement previous findings on judges’ reliability and methods for improving reliability from a different viewpoint.
