ActionLesothoisanIrishNGOworkingonhumanitariananddevelopmentprojectsinNorthernLesotho,SouthernAfrica.ThisarticledetailstheoriginsanddevelopmentofActionLesotho’sChildhoodEducationandWellbeingProgramme(CEWP)12,fromitsinitialstagestoitscurrentformwhereinAistear:theEarlyChildhoodCurriculumFramework(NCCA,2009a)hasbecomeembeddedinthepedagogicalapproach,andethosoftheprogramme.ThearticlearguesthatAistearhasbeenanagentoftransformationthathassimultaneouslynurturedsustainablepractice.ThepublicationofAistear(NCCA,2009a),precedesthatoftheUnitedNationsSustainableDevelopmentGoals(UnitedNations,2015).The 139narrationofthisuniqueleetodemonstratesatransformationinwaysofteaching,learning,and working in the CEWP, in addition to emphasizing the potential of Aistear’s Principles and Themes as a conduit for the realisation of the United Nations (2015) Sustainable Development Goals
