into the worldview and ritual practices of the Irish neo-pagan community has
provided me with valuable insights and "insider" accounts of what it is like to
be an Irish neo-pagan. In my discussion, I examine the use of mythology and
Irish cultural symbols as resources utilised in this modern spiritual movement.
The connections between the numinous, the natural landscape and social
environment often gives rise to creative expression and this paper examines the
interconnectedness of landscape, mythology and processes of identity
construction in Irish neo-pagan culture.
